These lamps look nice and are a good value. They are exactly as pictured. As others have said, the shade does not fasten to the lamp securely, but this has not been a problem. Although not previously mentioned, the shades are virtually opaque, allowing very light to pass through them. They actually appear darker (tan) with the light ON than when OFF (cream). I'm using a 100 watt equivalent bright white compact fluorescent bulb. The majority of the light comes from the top and some from the bottom. Not a problem for our bedroom, but could be a concern if used in a room where a bright, direct light is needed.

The lamp body is attractive and sturdy. My only criticism would be the lampshade, which is not perfectly attached to it's frame (it looks wavy).

The lamp is absolutely gorgeous. It is better than the web site portrays it. The shade looks and feels like a micro suede fabric, and the leather matches our sofa exactly.

This lamp provides the perfect amount of light in a bedroom.
